Is it just me, or does it feel like this year is just rushing by? Here it is July and I'm only now starting to take real notice of Pantone's colour for 2015, the rich, moody and broody Marsala. To me, this colour shines when it's teamed with mid-toned woods, neutral textures, warm leathers and frosty pinks - topped off with a splash of metallic brushed gold.
To be honest I'm not totally Marsala mad as it gives me the occasional bad flashback to the 90's (I still cringe at the thought of the Aubergine feature wall craze) but if you want to be swept up in Marsala, there's no better time than the present! Like any strong feature colour, if you're a little nervous about using it as the base of your colour scheme, try paring it back and teaming it with friendly textures, tones and the odd hero piece and then you should see it shine - and the 90's feature wall will be just a distant memory... ;)
